应地球物理与信息技术学院钱荣毅副院长邀请，英国伦敦大学学院（UCL）Vincent Tong副教授将来我校进行学术交流，并举办高等教育学术研讨会。

Vincent C H Tong is a Principal Teaching Fellow at the Arena Centre for Research-based Education, University College London. His research interests include discipline-based education research, research-teaching nexus, and learning communities in higher education. He is also interested in participatory action research and has founded a consortium of university students working in partnership with leading researcher-educators to shape higher education pedagogy. Apart from education, Vincent is an active geophysics researcher and has led an international research consortium on studying the ocean-solid earth interface as one of the Principal Investigators. Combining his interests in geoscience and education, he is serving as the Secretary of the newly established Education Section of the American Geophysical Union (AGU).
He studied physics at Imperial College London before obtaining his PhD in Marine Geophysics from the University of Cambridge. He has been a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2015, recognising his sustained strategic leadership in higher education.
